Booking turns a yes into a confirmed date without the seven-message thread: a scheduling link, a calendar entry that syncs, and guest prep that goes out automatically once the slot is taken.
Saying yes is the easy part. Most guests are lost in the gap between agreeing and appearing.
One link instead of a thread
A public booking link shows the slots you are genuinely available for and lets the guest pick one. There is no proposing three times, no timezone arithmetic, and no discovering on the day that the invitation and the calendar disagree.
Confirmed episodes sync to Google Calendar when the workspace has calendar access connected, so the booking exists where the rest of your week already lives.

Prep that goes out before you forget
The most common reason a recording goes badly is that the guest arrived without knowing what the conversation was for. Booking a slot triggers the prep — what the episode covers, what to expect, what they need in front of them — while the yes is still warm.
That prep is attached to the session, so the host opens the recording room with the same brief the guest received rather than a different one.
Nothing is re-entered
The booking is not a new object. It is a stage change on the guest who was invited, which means the outreach thread, the reason they were a fit, and the notes from the invitation all travel into the session with them.
When the recording finishes it lands back on the same record. The loop closes without anyone copying a name between two systems.

Do guests need a PodReach account to book?
No. The booking link is public and does not require the guest to create anything.
Is Google Calendar required?
No, but connecting it is what keeps confirmed episodes in sync with the rest of your calendar. How that access is used and how to revoke it is documented in the Google Calendar data controls page.
